Tips
When cutting with the Helix craft knife it is best to use a stainless steel or metal-edged ruler to cut straight edges. This prevents the knife from slicing into the wood or plastic of other rulers.

Do you want to fold a thick piece of paper stock, but don't want that lumpy look at the seam? Here is a easy trick: using your Helix craft knife and stainless steel ruler, place the edge of the ruler where you want your fold to go and then lightly run the craft knife along the edge. This will "score" you paper. Make sure not to cut through the paper, you only want to penetrate the surface of the paper. You should try this first on a test piece so you can get the hang of how hard you need to press. Once you have "scored" your seam, you can easily fold it using the edge of table.
